Netball Results Round 16
With the Moama Netball complex looking fantastic, players took the court in cold conditions and did Moama proud, with 6 wins, 1 draw & 1 loss by a solitary goal.
A Grade girls came up against a rough, physical Rumbalara team that didn’t let up the whole game. Moama played strong skillfull netball but at the end of the day the girls couldn’t quite take the win. The players didn’t a lot wrong but unfortunately those 50:50 calls never went our way which lead to the one goal loss. The girls will re-group and bounce back strongly for their match against Tongala next week. Moama 34 lost to Rumbalar 35. Best; Jacki Letts. Coaches Award; Georgie Crowe.
B Grade played a steady first half setting up a 9 goal lead at half time. Rumba stepped up in the 2nd half however Moama quickly adjusted and with strong defence, allowed ample opportunities for the goalers to maintain their lead. Eventually taking the win by 8 goals. Moama 45 defeated Rumbalara 37. Best; Vicki Bavich. Coaches Award; Karyn McCallman.
C Grade displayed good defensive pressure and attacking netball which made the game good to watch for spectators in the comfort of the new under cover stand. Moama moved to space and created good passages of play. Rumba lead early, however Moama fought back hard, with the score close throughout the second half and enfing in an exciting draw.
