Moama White Friday 9th July
Moama travelled to Colbinabbin to take on Runnymeade a team who has dominated the competition, with a couple of key player missing they performed well.
Both teams attacked from the first bounce pushing forward our defence was strong with good team work by Sam McHale & Tyler Thorpe. Wade Murray played a great game busting through packs and getting his hands on the ball all night.
Nathan Vanvetta kicked his first goal from a set shot on a difficult angle. There was a great team effort to hold the opposition to only one point for the night.
Moama’s solid backline helped run the ball forward where the desparation allowed Jeramy Pain to kicked another Moama goal on the run.
Moama was able to hold off an attacking Runnymeade in the last qtr to give our team a confidence boost with some tough opponents coming up. The whole team deserved awards tonight with all players contributing in cold slippery conditions.

Goals : Jeremy Pain & Nathan Vanzetta
Awards: Caleb O’Meara, Nathan Vanzetta, Wade Murray, Tyler Thorpe, Robbie Cain, Zac Keele..

Netball Results Round 14
A Grade girls continued on from last week’s impressive win to set up another 34 goal win. The work rate of all girls all over the court was fantastic. The defenders provided plenty of turnovers in which the shooters didn’t let the team down. The only negative was the 3rd qtr lapse. The players will need to continue to improve on putting together 4 strong quarters to be competitive come the finals. Moama 52 defeated Echuca United 18. Best; Renee Campbell. Coaches Award; Cat Atkinson

B Grade had another fine game. The girls took hold of the game in the first quarter to hold a 17-3 lead. Spectators witnessed accurate goaling throughout the entire match. Well done to Alex who had a stint in goals and played well. Steph Jones shot well while Kym Byrne assisted her team mates all day. Moama 62 defeated Echuca United 19. Best; Steph Jones. Coaches Award; Kym Byrne.

C-Grade’s Echuca United team got off to a flying start which made Moama play catch up netball all game. Maddie Jones played well and impressed with her second efforts. Jac Tomlinson showed her never give up attitude, defending and rebounding well. As much to their efforts, Moama could not reign in United’s lead. Hold your heads up for next week girls.
