under 14s
Saturday morning was cold and wet in Barooga. With a couple of players unavailable and a couple who must of had trouble finding Barooga, it was always going to be a battle for our boys to overcome their very big opponents. In what could only be discribed as a shame,on arrival at the Barooga oval, we were made to play on the No.2 oval , with the magnificent looking No.1 oval left vacant.
Early in the game, both teams were applying pressure and it was a real battle to see who was going to score.Moama were getting the ball into the forward line but couldn't put the score on the board. The backline led by Jake Toll and Ricky Papa were competing strongly against their much bigger opponents but weight of numbers made it hard and eventually Barooga took control of the game and ran out easy winners. To Moamas credit they never give in at any stage, in any game , and although they have only won one game at this point of the season, the coaching staff believe that another win is not far away and could come as early as this week against Finley when hopefully we with have a full team for the first time this season.

Netball Results Round 11
Another convincing win for the under 17’s with some impressive goaling by all 6 goalers. All girls worked very hard as a team putting lots of pressure on the opposition. Consistence saw us score 18 goals each quarter giving us our highest scoring game for the season. Scoring 27 goals Britenie Power was awarded best player and Mylie Kilmartin most determined. Final score Moama 72 defeated Barooga 14.

Maddison Jones in action
A lack of commitment, poor passes, and forward movement saw C Reserve down by 2 at three quarter time. The girls proved in the last quarter that they wanted to win with all girls contributing and communicating. Keep moving forward and working as a team. Best Player Tekarie Albert and most determined Rochelle Daley. Moama 28 defeated Barooga 23.
The under 15’s had a very slow and sloppy start going into half time 3 goals down. A tighter last quarter resulted in a drawer. Let’s work on space, forward movement, and our goals to ensure a win against Finley. Annabelle Harris was tight in defence all day earning best player while Rachel O’Brien was awarded most determined. Thank you to Emily Taverna and Erin Furness for sitting on our bench.

Bree Gilmour puts up a shot in the under 15 game.

Once again thank you to the Border Inn Hotel & Moama Tavern for the Junior Sponsorship deal. This provided our juniors a meal at the Barooga Game on the weekend. We hope this helps reduce the cost of the away game and to show further support to our junior sides.
