Moama Football Club write up round 8. Vs Nurmukah Vs Moama

Seniors
Score Numurkah 11.4-70 def by Moama 26.9-165

An Exciting 1st Quarter against the Blues with 9 goals kicked. Mick bagged up forward and there were other goal scores as we scored at will, the load was shared by all. K Agg showed his usual promptness with a scintillating drive from down town. Today we host the road and a chance to consolidate our spot in the top six. With the reserves playing well no spot is secure in the team so the same attitude needs to be taken into this game

Goal kickers: M.Allen 10, M.Powers & S. Keam 3, B.Mason, M.Rickards & L Eldridge with 2.
Best players: M.Allan –Harvest Hotel , L.Moss– OPT, T.Gilligan-Border Inn Hotel, J. Roscoe-Sportspower, D Armfield-Morrisons, B.Mason- Riverine Massage Clinic.

Reserves
Score Numurkah 3.7-25 def by Moama 19.14-128

Netball Results Round 8
A Grade put in a solid defensive effort, however this was not enough on the day. Better luck next week. Best player was Zoe Toll, most determined Karina Johns. Final score Moama 22 lost to Numurkah 59

B grade had a great team game in hot conditions in Katunga, however lost concentration in the 3rd quarter which created an 11 goal lead for Numurkah. Dramatic changes @ the 3rd term break were good bridging the gap, not good enough to get home. Best player Ash Farrelly most determined Bree Hamilton. Numurkah defeated Moama 42-50.

Under 14s
Moama Under 14s came up against the fourth placed Numurkah on Saturday
and were very competitive for most of the game, except for ten minutes in the second quarter when numurkah kicked 8 goals.
In the second half we showed great improvement, with every player contributing, taking risks and starting to believe in themselves.By putting pressure on the opposition, the young Mowers fought their way back into the game with several players showing the way.
