under 14s Round 4
In woeful conditions, the Under 14s came back to earth with a thud against a much more determined TEAM.Heavy rain throughout the match made it hard for both teams but the opposition wanted the ball a lot more than our boys and it showed on the scoreboard.Tyson Waters was outstanding and along with Liam Jones-Duggan Brendan Nettlefold and Jack Harland tryed hard to keep Moama in the game.Riley Murphy was our only effective forward on the scoreboard kicking 2 goals. Special thanks to Steve Thorp & Jim Walsh for umpiring in such condotions

Score Tongala 11-19-85 def Moama 11-9-75
Wow! What a day.... It seems Tongala always produces these extreme weather conditions on a disappointing day for the seniors. The spectators could see it was a 5 goal wind, but it was kicking against that wind, that seemed to produce just as many goals. The backline held-up well through the day, led by James Roscoe, with a good fists effort from Levi Moss, and with Mick Allen again kicking 5 goals to help Moama keep in touch. Holding Tongala was always going to be tough in the last quarter due to the conditions, loosing Gillie and especially due to the ball spilling-out on non-pressured marks. Best players for the day were Ben Mason, Michael Sage, Tom Gilligan, James Roscoe, Matt Richards & Levi Moss, with thanks also going out to the sponsors: The Border Inn, Morrisons Winery, OPT, Sports Power, and Empire Massages.

A grade put in a slow first quarter which was the decider of the game. A solid last 3 quarters in hot conditions kept us within arms reach. It was great to see training implemented into the game. Better luck this week girls against Tongala. Emma Farrant was strong in defense winning herself best player while Zoe Toll was award most determined and Bree Power OPT. Final score Moama 40 Tocumwal 50.

What a terrific team effort B grade produced over Tocumwal winning 62 to 40. It was great to know that your fitness can outlast the hot conditions. Accurate goalie Ella Wales was awarded best player while Paige Jones was given most determine player due to her ongoing efforts in the mid court.
