Moama White Under 12 Round 7
Moama White played at home against a very good Echuca Saints team who dominated the first half.
Reece Sidebottom, Jobee Warde and Keegan Hutchins getting plenty of the ball with their persistent hard running. The ball was in our backline plenty with Jaidyn Kerr and Tyler Thorp teaming well to stop them scoring more goals.
Jack McGowan rucked his heart out again and after a good tackle by Riley Rickard was awarded with a free kick he passed to Nicholas McKenner who opened our account.
Zac Antonie had the play of the night with a beautiful play that was text book ruck roving he grabbed while running out of the ruck and kicked into our forward line. This gave our team confidence in the second half to match it with Echuca in a slippery tug of war to get the ball forward.
Wade Murray and Jeremy Pain ran hard all night picking up kicks and delivering the ball to a contest. Caleb O’Meara was consistent up back using his size to bust up some packs in an effort to get his team going.
Well done to all the boys who participated in the interleague at the Moama Carnival.
Goals : Nicholas McKenner
Awards: Wade Murray, Jack McGowan, Nicholas McKenner, Zac Keele, Jeremy Pain, Wade Oliver, Zac Antonie & Jobee Warde.
