Netball Results Round 8
The A grade girl’s start to the game was better than previous weeks only being one goal down at quarter time. The attacking game of Moama lifted in the 2nd quarter playing hard, direct netball with Renee Campbell and Coby Guthrie finishing off the girls hard work in the circle. Moama lead by 4 goals going into the main break. However Numurkah’s defensive pressure lifted a gear narrowing the magrin to 2 going into the last quarter. Moama’s defensive pressure was great all game however we failed to convert our opportunities in the last quarter and made too many turnovers costing us the game. Only shooting at 58% for the game and narrowingly going down to the top team shows promosing signs. Moama 29 lost to Numurkah 31
Best; Cat Atkinson, Coaches Award; Renee Campbell.

B Grade went down by 10 goals to a determined Numurkah, in a tough wet game. Excellent defence by Simone earned her a best on court, getting her hands on everything. Kym Byrne had a great consistent game. The girls let themselves down in the third quarter however they bounced back in the last quarter and played the game out well to the end. Moama 37 lost to Numurkah 47. Best; Simone Wood. Coaches Award; Kym Byrne.

C Grade had a fantastic 1st quarter, with short sharp options paying off in the trying conditions. The team showed a great positive attitude however the break going into the second quarter seemed to unsettle them. They then had to play catch up for the rest of the game. Katie’s centre quart running and clever short options were fantastic. Moama 46 defeated Numurkah 41. Best; Katie Le Blanc. Coaches Award; Paige Jones.

Moama White Under 12 Round 5

Jack McGowan again played a very solid game in the ruck with our smaller brigade getting plenty of touches, Bayley Dobson and Keegan Hutchins were showing good skills in the slippery conditions.

First gamer Wade Oliver showed true grit in his first game getting a number of possessions. Robbie Cain was also in the action playing in under the packs picking up the loose ball and Lachlan Dundee showed off his tackling skills being rewarded with a free kick.

Dylan Wright, Jobee Warde and Caleb O’Meara were solid all night showing good team work and spirit which was a reflection of the teams endeavor for the game. Tyler Thorpe kicked our only goal in a passage of play that showed they can play good team footy. Good effort boys.

Netball Results Round 7
C Reserve put in a great team effort. The final score didn’t reflect how well the girls played. Tight defence saw many turnovers & rebounds. The ball was bought down the court well by the attackers providing several shots at goal, however the goalers just could not convert them to scores. Next time Moama meets Congupna the girls will be hungry for the win. Moama 23 lost to Congupna 35. Best; Tekarie Albert. Coaches Award; Libby Kennaugh.

Under 17. Well done to all the players in another full team convincing win. Parents & spectators witnessed great goaling, strong defence and smart mid court play. Best on court Bridie Crowe had yet another impressive game playing both Centre & Goal Defence. Rochelle Daley had a good & consistent game. Fantastic win girls. Moama 57 defeated Congupna 22. Best; Bridie Crowe. Coaches Award; Rochelle Daley.

The Under 15’s once again got off to a flyer with Morgan netting 10 of the team’s 1st qt. goals. Bree & Nichole combined well in defence while Lauren worked tirelessly in the Centre & WA. With precision passing from Tammy, Moama steamed ahead to have a convincing 48 goal win. Moama 65 defeated Congupna 17. Best; Morgan Power. Coaches Award; Lauren Minnicozzi.

Nicole Weller under 15's

The Under 13 team played well throughout their match and were unlucky to go down by 2 goals. The girls were disappointed with the result after playing well in the first half; with only very few minutes of the game letting them down. With improvement in some areas and settling into positions the girls have a great future ahead. Best on court Tyler ran hard all day and passed intelligently into the ring. Diarna has shown terrific improvement and was impressive in the goals working well with Emily. Moama 29 lost to Congupna 31. Best; Tyler Murphy. Coaches Award; Diarna Kerr.

The Under 12’s seemed a little confused for the first qtr, but with some positional changes in defence everyone stepped up for the rest of the game. They pegged back the opposition to take a comfortable lead up to the final siren. There has been so much improvement seen in the girls, they are displaying great team work on & off the court, it is a credit to them. Moama 21 defeated Congupna 15. Best/Coaches Awards; Courtney Johnson & Maegan Johnson.
