Netball Results Round 4

A Grade girls returned to form playing fast, free flowing netball. The players set themselves with a handy 13 goal lead by half time. Positional changes in the 3rd qtr unsettled the girls however they regained their form in the final qtr finishing off strongly with a 22 goal win. Only playing 3 consistent qtr.’s this week; our goal will be four in our next match against Cobram. Moama 49 d Tongala 27. Best; Renee Campbell. Coaches Award; Belinda Patterson.

B Grade put in another great effort achieving a terrific win. The players earned the rest this week going into the Bye with 4 wins on the trot. Great defence from Vicki, rebounding & intercepting continually. Anna Holmfield played a great game finding easy space and feeding into the goalers beautifully. Keep it up girls, big game after the Bye. Moama 62 d Tongala 31. Best; Vicki Bavich. Coaches Award; Anna Holmfiled.

C Grade’s first qtr was the only let down for the whole game. Consistency after this was positive as the players never gave up. Kyra was consistent in a very complex situation. A lot of positives to work on out of the game. Moama 41 lost to Tongala 60. Coaches Awards; Katie Le Blanc & Kyra Naismith.

Moama Black Under 12 Round 1

First game for the season Moama Black played Echuca Saints on Friday Night at Moama.

Parker Phelan and Jackson Farrell started strongly in the first quarter, tackling hard and
always on the ball.

Backline held up very strong in the first quarter, great play from the whole team.
Jesse Higgins tackled strongly and was rewarded with a free kick. Toby Hore
took a great mark in the forward line.

Moama continued to play strongly, Darcy Elliot and Jack Thompson consistently
watching the ball and rewarding themselves with great efforts and determination.

The final quarter saw Moama start to assist themselves with good control of the ball
and great defence, with many players involved. Micah Schroder , Fraser Verhey and
Cody Cameron were all involved in great play.

In all fantastic play from all the new players who all contributed and showed great efforts
for the first games.

Netball Results Round 3

C-Res also had another great win. Spectators saw great attacking down the court by Erin Furness & Mikaela Burke. Kelsey Ward was flexible over the whole court while the defence; Tekarie Albert & Christine Costello worked hard to turn the ball over. Great stamina & hard work. Best; Christine Costello. U17 players played a lot better this week displaying some pleasing passages of play. Accurate goaling by all 4 goalers was great to see. The defence by Georgie Crowe was a highlight. Moama U15 started the game very slowly, while their opposition was there to play from the start. The girls started to play better in the 2nd qtr but still found themselves down by 8 goals. They regrouped in the second half to get within 1 goal but went down by 3 at the final siren. A great game in defence by Steph Wood & Rachel O’Brien in the centre court. Best; Rachel O’Brien.
