Netball Results Round 20
Good luck to C Reserve, Under 17’s, & Under 15’s netball teams who have all qualified for finals.

The C Res girls finished the year with a nice win. It was a great effort with all 8 girls contributing to the win. Libby Kennaugh played an awesome game in defence earning the honours of best player while Ash McCreddin goaled consistently to win most determined. Keep up the work girls going into finals. Final score Moama 40 defeated Nathalia 21.

The under 17 team had a win but not necessarily in style. In a scrappy game we just couldn’t get the flow happening. In a fairly even team performance the Crowe sisters took out the quinella to win both the awards. Moama 31 defeated Nathalia 19.

The under 15 team pulled it together in a time of need defeating Nathalia 39 to 21 to qualify for finals. All the girls put in an even team game however a strong second half was the match decider. A few things to work on at training before we hit the road to Deniliquin on Saturday. Tammy Woosnam played a great game in goals earning herself best player while always consistent Rachel O’Brien won most determined. Good luck in finals.....

under 14s
Our Under 14s continued on from where they left off the week before, when they played some great football to run away from Rumbalara on Saturday. With "official" Umpires it was something new and our boys were enjoying the unusual dry conditions due to the later start to the game. They moved the ball with confidence and authority and despite some early innaccuracy in front of goal, eventually ran out very comfortable winners. Despite our lack of success earlier in the year ,our boys are being rewarded for their persistence and their willingness to keep trying and hopefully can finish the year off on a positive note this Saturday

Every player in Moama Black can be proud of their efforts with a great display of sportsmanship, team spirit and awesome football throughout the day and in fact the whole season.

Netball Results Round 19
It was beautiful weather for netball as A grade endured a close encounter for their last game the year. The scores were even at half time however a laps in the third quarter let us down. Let’s regroup and have a strong preseason and knock em dead in 2010. Our tough battle resulted in Rumbalara defeating Moama 38 to 33. Karina Johns won best player and Sam Collins most determined.

B grade put in a great team effort and hopefully with a win next week we will cement a finals berth. Coby Guthrie and Ella Wales were hot on the goals scoring there highest amount of goals for the season. Moama 65 defeated Rumba 35. Best player Vicki Bavich, most determined Ella Wales.

In very warm conditions our C grade girls lifted their work rate to a handy 67 – 19 win. Thank you to Brit Power from U17 who played some of the game to cover injuries. Solid defence by Nicolina Taverna, Jac Tomlinson, & Sarah Toll which was copped off by impressive goaling by Kelli Johns, Brit Power, & Sherry Lanyon. Efforts midcourt were commendable with Tara Baker earning most determined. Best player in an even team effort was Sarah Toll.
