Moama Black Under 12 Football Report
In the local derby, Moama Black took on Moama White in this week’s round. White put pressure on Black’s defence early but good tackling by Clay McGregor and strong marking by Jesse Higgins and Tom Givney kept Black in control of the ball. Ben Walker slotted through a major score and was followed by a goal to Tyler Cubby. The second quarter was fairly even. Matt Nettlefold was in the play with a great kick forward. Givney continued to play well in defence while Walker and Sam Evans took strong marks. Jack Elliott kicked Black’s only goal for the quarter while Jackson Farrell was unlucky and hit the post. Black scored more freely in the 3rd quarter. Lachie Schultz kicked two goals and passed to Murphy in the forward line. Murphy finished off with a popular goal. Black continued to play well in the final quarter.
