Under 14s

Moama Under 14s were fantastic on Saturday,again coming up against a much bigger opponent in Finley. Sickness,injury and unavailability created havoc,but to the credit of the boys who played,they had a red hot go from start to finish.Joel Murphy and Jack Elliott,from the Under 12s, came into the side at the last minute to fill some gaps and were both great in their first games at this level.We started slowly but soon realised that we were as good as the opposition and played some very good football at various stages throughout the game.Tyson(Angry) Waters was in everything,Josh(smallest huge man in the comp) Taylor battled hard all day,Riley Murphy and Ricky Papa tried hard and Brenton Case has been terrific the last two games. Every week the boys are improving

Netball Results Round 12

A grade had a tough game in wet conditions with many positives to work on for this week’s game. A great game, we were so close to taking the points, hopefully this week against Deniliquin. Lots of fill ins today, thanks to Steph Reeves and Brit Power from under 17’s and Ella Wales from B grade. Best player went to Emma Farrant and most determined Ella Wales. Final score Moama 29 Finley 36.

B grade had plenty of opportunities to take control of the game however poor passes allowed Finley to stay in touch. Rain in the fourth quarter even the game for both teams resulting in a draw. Best player was Coby Guthrie and most determined Vicki Bavich. Final score Moama and Finley both 46.

C grade had a slow and even start, however lifted in the last quarter to win by 4 points. Well done to Tara Baker who played a strong game in centre feeding nicely to both goalers. It was nice to see new coach Lou Kennaugh have her first win, fantastic team effort by everyone. Best player Sherry Lanyon, most determined Nicolina Taverna. Final score Moama 27 defeated Finley 23.
